You know, there’s something about a collection that reminds one of Edward Scissorhand’s neighborhood. A collection like that would have to many things at once. It’d have to be quirky, extremely colorful, stuck in a time warp AND have a sinister edge. Luckily for fashion’s sake, there IS a collection that is exactly like that! Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2013 RTW collection had all this and more.
I am in love with it. The colors are awesome. It looks like the mustard color from this fall will turn slightly ochre for springtime. My favorite thing about this collection though are the nods to vintage silhouettes. There a 70′s safari suit, 50′s suit jackets, and slick 80s-esque skirts. This collection has everything for the free spirited chick who isn’t afraid to be…interesting.
What did you think of de la Renta’s collection? Can you dig it?
