New York Fashion Week is in full swing. I can just imagine the buzz of all the designers, models, editors, photographers, and bloggers that have descended upon the Fashion Capital of the States. This is one of my favorites times of the year because it is so neat to see what is going to be all the rage for the Spring. And since I’ve finally launched Pheenix, I can already start thinking about the direction (trend wise) my Spring 2013 collection should take. Stay tuned!
Enough about me though, today’s post is all about Jason Wu & his 2013 Spring RTW collection. When I tell you I love every piece in this collection, I really mean EVERY piece. Wu outdid himself this season. With an amazing mix of sexy lace, edgy leather, daring cutouts, & girlish silhouettes, I think Wu’s collection embodies what it is to be a woman in 2012. We’re all these things & what better way to convey that than through an amazing wardrobe?!

I see the peplum trend appears to continue into the Spring. It also seems mixing hard & soft fabrics will continue as a way to change things up. I’m loving the leather & lace combos. Pairing them with the vintage silhouettes that Wu has designed is what makes the combination classy rather than tacky. I also like the reemergence of the bustier. I have always been a fan of certain piece of lingerie being revamped for day wear & the way Jason Wu did it in his collection is totally wearable & classic. I think this was one collection that was a good introduction to what we can expect for the Spring. I’m excited!
